Emily | NYC Senior Session

When my husband and I decided to take another trip the to NYC for our 4th anniversary in May - I never thought I would actually convince anyone to come along for some senior pictures! May is such a weird time of the year for a senior photographer! The current class is already or about to graduate, and the upcoming year seniors haven't really started thinking about senior pictures yet! BUT I put it out there anyways and guess what? Not only Emily booked, but also Leslie - her blog will be next!

Traveling is such a huge passion so when I can travel AND take pictures of pretty girls - it really is a dream come true!!!

Well the week we were leaving - the forecast showed a FULL WEEKEND of rain!!! I WAS STRESSED! Thankfully, the Lord heard my prayers and Friday morning - the rain cleared out and although very overcast we were able to get our shoot in!

We met at 6:30 am in Central Park - we wanted to meet before the busy-ness of the city really started and it was such a great idea! We got so many Central Park shots with nobody in the background!!! From Central Park, we made our way to the Subway like real New Yorkers and headed to DUMBO! These were my favorite!!! Brooklyn Bridge is a MUST SEE when visiting NYC and the views are phenomenal! After we left DUMBO, We walked the entire Brooklyn Bridge and hopped back on the Subway and made our way to Times Square! We knew Times Square would be busy no matter what, so being there before the rest of the city, wasn't much a concern! We knew our shots would be flooded with people! But ALL this girl wanted was a picture with a hot dog - and guess what! We made it happen!!!! And I'm pretty sure those are Emily's favorite pictures from the entire trip!!!

Once we FINALLY got a picture hailing a cab, we all went as a group and ate lunch at John's Pizza in Times Square as this is another New York favorite of mine!

I am so thankful for the opportunity to shoot in NYC - And to have mom's and daughters trust me with taking their senior pictures and making them amazing across the country!!!
